Another Kentucky Creation

In driving to Philadelphia from Atlanta (with a carload of stuff to ensure that our house had the essentials before the movers arrived), I stopped at Berea, Kentucky. They have a collection of Kentucky crafts which include ceramics, pottery, hand-blown glass, and metal figures. Our cute mouse was bought there on an earlier trip. This trip I acquired a kitty:

Isn't it cute, despite its temporary spot atop moving boxes? :-)

GMAC, a memento of the great re-location adventure? Did you find your kitty at the craft center on the outside of Berea or in town? Berea is a great walking about place if you're interested in true mountain arts and crafts. The spoon bread at the Berea Restaurant and Inn right on the town square is not half bad either!

Hope new Philly digs are beginning to feel like home.

At the craft center outside of Berea. They were crafty people, placing it with a restroom.

Every time I pass through, I hate that I'm always hurrying somewhere. I'd love to see some of the sights, like the Henry Clay plantation outside of Lexington.

But it is such a beautiful state that I can't help but enjoy the drive. :-)
